Indianapolis residents are very interested in locally grown and sustainable foods. Indy has four farmer's markets that offer you the opportunity to eat locally sourced food.
The Original Farmer's Market
Located at the Indianapolis City Market, the Original Farmer's Market is open year long and located on - appropriately - Market Street between Delaware and Alabama.
May to October: Wednesdays 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Outside.
November to April: Wednesdays 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Indoors.
Indy Winter Farmer's Market
Open in, well, the winter, The Indy Winter Farmer's Market offers locally sourced foods and is also located at the Indianapolis City Market.
November to April: Saturdays 9:00 a.m. until approximately 1:00 p.m.
Broad Ripple Farmer's Market
Located at the Broad Ripple Magnet High School, the Broad Ripple Farmer's Market has more than 60 vendors. The market is open May to November.
May to November: Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
June to September: Wednesday 5:00 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Trader's Point Green Market
Located on the northwest side of Indianapolis this market is at the Trader's Point Creamery. This family-owned farm opens the Green Market from May to October outdoors, and November to April the market moves indoors.
May to October: Friday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Outside.
